For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 NIV

This week I had a conversation with a student who felt a classmate was the “perfect student.” So perfect in fact, that the other student had nothing left to learn about how to get along with others. Interesting how our perceptions about others can be so grand that we think less of ourselves. Of course, I assured the student that none of us is “perfect” and all of us, including myself, still have so much to learn about relationships. We never stop learning, or maybe I should say, we should never stop learning.

Much like relationships, we have so much more to learn about God and the life He desires for us to live. The verse above from Hebrews reminds me to never stop reading the Bible. What God says to me this week might be very different from His words for me next week. The Bible is alive and speaking to me every day. As our mission statement says, we want to be life-long learners at Conejo, life-long learners of knowledge and of God. What is God saying to me today? How does He want to help me improve my life today?
