What Difference?

Happy October Conejo Family! The month has just begun but it will be a busy and important month for us. Be sure to check out the information about our Move-a-Thon and family event coming up on October 26th. Your student should have papers in their weekly folder, and it is included in this newsletter as well. Then next week, our second Conejo Conversation will happen on Friday evening with Mr. Hobbs. I’m excited to hear what he has to share with us about healthy boundaries. Don’t forget to sign up so we can plan dinner and prepare the meeting space for you.

I want to take a moment to thank Mr. Richey, Levi, Mr. Aagaard, Mrs. Gomez, Kozette, and my husband for spending last Sunday morning helping remove our play structure. Many hands make light work, and I don’t know that it was “light” work, but the work was accomplished in a much shorter time than I expected because of the additional hands and tools.  Asking for help was very last minute and I’m so grateful for the response. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now to raise some funds for a new structure!

I’m going to leave you with a quote I read from Dr. Jane Goodall yesterday that struck me as an important reminder that how I use my time matters. “You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. Hebrews 13:16 NLT
