Happy April, Conejo Family, and welcome back to school! I trust you all had a nice break from school and are ready for these last few months of this school year because the time is going to go quickly! Here we go!
This week I’ve had a lot on my mind, students, parents, teachers, life situations…many things to pray about and ponder. A couple of students were heavy on my mind this morning and my Bible app scripture of the day was perfect!
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. Ephesians 6:14 NLT
The person talking about the verse concentrated on the belt of truth and believing God’s truth about ourselves. The lies we so often believe about ourselves keep us from living. I’m not good enough, I’m not strong enough, I’m not thin enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not popular enough, I’m not enough…I can’t feel good about myself or get along with my peers or do my best in school/work when my self-narrative is not grounded in truth. God’s truth is that I’m His child and I’m enough right now. I will never reach a point when I don’t need to refine my character anymore, but wherever I am on my journey, I am enough. If only we could live in that truth every day and give ourselves grace to keep going on the journey. That is my prayer for all of us, live in God’s truth TODAY!
