Well, this has been quite the week full of ups and downs for our little school family…announcing the Doyle family’s departure this summer, learning about Gerritt’s accident, praying and rejoicing in all his progress toward recovery, and just living life…is it really only Thursday??? I’m once again reminded of just how blessed we are to belong to a community that lifts each other up and genuinely cares for each other.
This week makes me so thankful for life and for God’s blessing through the storms. I’m so grateful for God’s love and care for us especially this week. We are loved in a mighty way.
When my mind is quiet, I think of things I should do to share God’s love and blessings with those around me. Who can I reach out to today? A friend I haven’t had contact with recently, a colleague who is experiencing an unexpected illness, a student who needs to be heard, a neighbor who is isolated from family, or maybe just taking a moment to take care of myself.
I pray this next week of school vacation will allow you and your family to enjoy the blessing of family and share that joy with someone in your lives.
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10 NIV
