Seek and you will find. I’ve had several conversations and read a couple of articles over this past week or two that keep bringing me back to the concept of seeking and finding. More specifically, the concept that I’m going to find what I’m looking for and searching to discover. Where is my focus? What am I searching to find? Am I open to other ideas, or have I already determined the answer and I’m disregarding anything in opposition to my idea? And then on the flip side, am I even seeking?
I’m sure you have experienced looking for something, giving up, and then once you declare you can’t find the object, another person will open the same cupboard you just opened and pull out the object. So frustrating! I just looked there! Hmmm. Did I really search, or did I give up before I started because I had already determined it wasn’t there? Or was I preoccupied with something else, so I was unable to see what was right in front of my face? Seek and you will find. My mindset will determine what I find and if I find what I’m really seeking.
