Happy 2021 to you all! A new beginning. Isn’t that the title of a Star Wars movie? (My husband would be so disappointed that I don’t know the answer without looking it up.) Sometimes I feel like we are living in a movie these days. Life has brought many changes with the addition of new daily routines and the subtraction of numerous activities I mostly took for granted prior to 2020.
This year, I’m reading the Bible through with my church in chronological order. I wasn’t really expecting to jump from mid- Genesis to Job this first week of reading but that’s where I am now. Job is a great reminder of just how small any inconveniences I experience in my life really are, but on the flip side, how incredibly important I am to God. I’m doing my best to keep my focus on my importance to God. January didn’t bring a magical reset button but it did bring me an opportunity to reset my mind. Like Job, I need to just keep praising God even though I might need a moment to vent my frustrations.
