Fueled and Aflame

Published: August 3, 2023      Updated: August 3, 2023

Hello Conejo Family!!! It is almost time to welcome you back to campus and welcome our new families to campus. My dear friend, Mr. Louie, said the summer would fly by and he was correct. August has arrived and school will begin in the blink of an eye.

Next week, the teachers will all be at a huge convention in Arizona, hopefully learning lots of great information inside the convention center and not outside melting! The following week, the teachers will be on campus getting their rooms and lessons ready for your kids! Our chapel is being converted into two classrooms this week as we still don’t have the green light from the city for our modular building. Please continue to keep this project in your prayers. God definitely has a plan for us, but the timeline is quite different than I imagined. My frustration is quite high, and I need to trust more. On Monday, my morning devotional had some verses specifically for me. Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Romans 12:11-13 MSG. I’m pretty sure God knew I was going to need those verses this week. I’m going to do my best to continue to be cheerfully expectant even when roadblocks keep getting put in our path.
God has a plan.

Happy August to you all! Hope to see you at the Thousand Oaks SDA Church on August 12th and if not then, I’ll see you on Friday, August 18th here at school for a little get together. We are going to have a GREAT year!!!
