Good Afternoon Conejo Family! I feel like my weekly message comes up very quickly these days. For so long, the days were all the same, so I couldn’t track the passage of time in my mind, and now that we are back on campus, I’m still having the same issue. What day is it today?
Today, I want to leave you with a thought to ponder. This morning I read two sentences that made me stop for a moment and I’m still thinking about them. I’m reading a devotional called, Prevail by Susie Larson. The overall theme of the passage today was about God being a Way-Maker and urging us, the readers, to allow our fears to die so God can make a way like He did for the Israelites to cross the Red Sea. The sentences, actually, two questions that leapt off the page were, “What’s your Red Sea-the do-or-die thing that threatens to swallow you whole? Will God part your waters because you are good, or because He is?” Wow. Once again, I’m reminded of God’s goodness. God continues to part the waters around me and yet I still stress about the unknowns. God is good and He will make a way if I allow Him to do so. I don’t know if this hits home for you today, but it changed the course of my day.
I’ll leave you with some lyrics from the worship song, Way Maker.
Miracle worker, promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God, that is who You are
Yes, it is, it's who You are
Way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper
Light in the darkness
My God, that is who You are
Have a blessed end to your week,
Mrs. Lew
