Generosity

Published: November 3, 2022      Updated: November 3, 2022

Generosity. We often think of generosity of giving money or gifts to others, but it can be so much more. I’m sure you know people who are generous with their time. Someone who will take the time to listen when you need to talk. Maybe you know someone who is generous with their talents. A person who will sew curtains for you or share a delicious treat they baked with you. Those people are generous with their time and talents! What about a person generous with their words? Someone who speaks words of encouragement when you are feeling down. Life presents so many ways for us to be generous with our money, our time, our words, our kindness, our talents, our interpretation of other’s actions (oooo, that’s a difficult one), and so many other ways. In this season of thanks, can I be more generous with others? I’m going to challenge myself, and you, to be intentional with generosity in ways that might be outside of the traditional “generosity” box.

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 NIV
