Good Afternoon! Welcome to October!
My mind is heavy as I write, but I’m resting in God’s grace today. Several events have taken place this week that remind me God is grace-filled, even if our world is not. The world appears (even though I know appearances aren’t usually reality) to judge us by one act and continues to remind us of that lapse in judgement or those quickly spoken words. On the flip side, one good deed and one kind word are not the sum of our existence either. I’m so thankful God sees our hearts and knows we are so much more than one action or one sentence.
Today, I’m praying to be filled with grace. As the saying goes, until I’ve walked a mile in your shoes…we all have something we are dealing with today and baggage that follows us from days in the past. I want to be quick to forgive, quick to understand, quick to love, quick to empathize, and slow to jump to any conclusions or judgement of anyone walking in this world. We are all on a journey and I pray we are an encouragement to others on their journeys.
Blessings to you Conejo Family!!! I’m so thankful today for all of you. Spread some sunshine and offer some grace to someone in your path today!

The Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me bring love.
Where there is offence, let me bring pardon.
Where there is discord, let me bring union.
Where there is error, let me bring truth.
Where there is doubt, let me bring faith.
Where there is despair, let me bring hope.
Where there is darkness, let me bring your light.
Where there is sadness, let me bring joy.
O Master, let me not seek as much
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love,
for it is in giving that one receives,
it is in self-forgetting that one finds,
it is in pardoning that one is pardoned,
it is in dying that one is raised to eternal life.
