Good Afternoon Conejo Family! The end of August is upon us and all is well. Thank you so much for coming out to Back-to-School Night and reading your teacher’s information about your child’s class or classes. The beginning of the school year is always filled with new details and seems overwhelming at times, at least to me, but it will settle down quickly and we’ll all slide into a lovely routine. I’m not quite there yet but I will be soon!
In 6th grade, our Bible class is discussing new beginnings and extreme make-overs. My friend, Mr. Ramirez, came in to talk to our class about his life make-over from a rather rough life to a life with Jesus. I love his story because it isn’t all sunshine and roses after he became a Christian, but it is a life filled with hope and the knowledge that there is more than this life and its drama, stress, and pain. Time after time this world has tried to knock him down and shake his faith, but his faith is stronger than this world. He is truly an inspiration to me, and I’m blessed to call him my friend.
I hope you are blessed by at least one inspirational friend in your life to lift you up. It is so easy to lose sight of the bigger picture, and when I get bogged down, people around me constantly remind me to look up. I’m blessed by my friends and thank God for them every day.
Have a blessed weekend Conejo!
I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people. Ephesians 1:16-18 NIV
