Change

Change. Oh. I’m not so great with change. Actually, it is the initial fear of change that doesn’t sit well with me. I need some time to process even when the change is for the better. These last few years have brought so much change to our lives that I think for me, the initial fear is amplified in my mind. However, once I’ve had a moment, or two, or ten, to sit with reality, I can find the blessing and there is always a blessing, it might not be specifically for me, but there is a blessing in the change, ALWAYS.

Is change easy? Nope, but growth never comes when everything stays the same. Sometimes I resist the changes that come my way, but I always grow my character in the end. God knows sometimes we need a little push outside of our comfort zone. I’m not sure what changes are going on in your lives right now, but I hope you’ll see them as challenges to grow. Find the blessing and charge ahead, my friends. God is always there to assist you. Rely on Him and carry on!

I love how The Message words these verses in Romans about perseverance or facing our challenges.

There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary-we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! Romans 5:3-5 MSG
