Chosen Priorities

Summer-time is here! As I’m writing this, Young Set Club is moving onto campus and will begin camp with a small number of campers next Monday. Laughter and music outside my window are strange but comforting sounds. Life is slowing returning.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve given multiple tours of our school. People looking for something different. People re-evaluating their choices and values. I believe we have all had more time to think about life. Well, maybe not more time but certainly our lives have been rearranged and made us think about our use of time.  If nothing more, I’m sure most of us have a new appreciation of the little things in life…flour, toilet paper, eggs, dine-in restaurants, hugs, family dinners, church, and more. As much as I want life to return to normal, I pray our normal doesn’t fill up with stuff to keep us busy but rather with chosen priorities to fill our lives with purpose and joy.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT
